Instructions

Bake the Cake:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Divide batter among three greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Make the Frosting:
